When is the 2015 Annual Legislative Conference?

Preconference: June 24-25, 2015 (Wednesday-Thursday)
Preconference workshops are half day workshops beginning with a welcome reception on the evening of June 18th hosted by Compassion and Choices followed by a half of day of policy workshops and other related activities hosted by the National Installation Lenders Association.

Conference: June 25-28, 2015 (Thursday – Sunday)
The NOBEL Women Annual Legislative Conference assembles hundreds of policy makers, industry leaders and members of the community for a four day series of thought provoking conversations about issues that directly impact the Black community. The conference features training sessions, policy discussions and recognition of some of the country’s most stellar leaders.

What is the conference schedule?

Preconference workshops will be held Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25, 2015.

The Conference will be held June 25-28, 2015.

Complete Conference schedule will be available May 1, 2015. A preliminary schedule has been provided for your review.

Where is the conference held?

The Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina located in beautiful costal California at 1441 Quivira Road in San Diego, California is the official hotel of the conference. All conference activities are held at this hotel located on the banks of the Pacific Ocean. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from the San Diego International Airport, within a 30 minute drive to United States/Mexican border and is approximately a 2 hour drive to Los Angeles, California.

What topics will be covered at the 2015 NOBEL Women Annual Legislative Conference?

Topics will cover a broad spectrum of real life issues as it relates to Black women particularly concerning the areas of financial policy, income and employment fairness, health, technology, telecommunication, voter rights, as a host of other issues concerning women and their families.

Why attend?

For three decades, the National Organization of Black Elected Legislative Women has worked tirelessly to ensure that the voices of women and their families are heard. Since our inception we have renewed our ongoing commitment to not only educating but cultivating the next generation of Black women leaders. We encourage women to take an active role in the shaping of policy that ultimately affect their quality of life.

What are the fees to attend the conference?

Conference – Thursday-Sunday, June 19-22, 2015

Attendance of the NOBEL Women Annual Legislative Conference is opened to the public. Registration is available to patrons at $50-$250 level. Rates have been priced at this level to encourage more community participation and a full overview of the rates are available via our registration brochure, which is available here.

Are scholarships available?

A limited number of scholarships are available for paid NOBEL Women members. These scholarships cover some travel and lodging cost. Interested parties are encouraged to apply online here.
